Cal 687 Time 45min
Estimated Cost $3.6
This meal requires starting a day before, doesn't take much actual time though, just letting sourdough crust rise and bake! (See Sourdough Pizza Crust Recipe)
45 min baking time does NOT include making sourdough pizza crust.
With your beautiful sourdough pizza crust that you made earlier, set crust on pizza pan (or any cook sheet that fits it)
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
As the oven is preheating, we will assemble the pizza.
In a small cup combine the freeze dried mozzarella cheese and water to rehydrate the freeze dried cheese. Stir together so all the cheese has water around it. Let rehydrate for 5-10 minutes.
Open the tomato sauce and spread it evenly onto the pizza with the back of a spoon.
Sprinkle italian seasonings over the tomato sauce.
Once your cheese has finished rehydrating, drain any excess water.
Sprinkle the cheese over the tomato sauce.
Next open the log of genoa salami. Remove the outer plastic wrapping and the additional internal brown wrapping, if it has one.
Slice salami in discs as this as you can. 1/16 - 1/8" thick, the thinner the better.
Place the sliced salami evenly around the pizza.
Next, open the can(s) of pineapple tidbits. Pour the pineapple juice into a cup, its delicious to just drink. Set aside.
Place the pineapple tidbits around the pizza, spaced evenly.
Now that your pizza is assembled, place into oven at 425 degrees for 20-30 minutes, until the edges start to turn golden and the cheese is melted.
Once the pizza is cooked, turn off the oven and remove pizza from oven with a hot pad and let cool for 5 minutes before you cut it, if you can wait.
Slice pizza as desired, pie shape or squares, with a pizza slicer or large chef knife.
Dish out your beautiful homemade pizza and enjoy!
