Cal 471 Time 15min
Estimated Cost $1.4
This meal requires starting a day before, doesn't take much actual time though, just letting bread rise and bake! (See Sourdough Bread Recipe)
15 min making time does not include making sourdough bread.
With your beautiful loaf of sourdough that you made earlier, cut bread into 1/2" slices.
Open can(s) of chicken and drain water.
In a medium bowl, add chicken to bowl.
Mix barbeque sauce in with the chicken.
Add dehydrated onions to bbq chicken mix.
Take two pieces of bread. On one side spread half of the mayonnaise (1/2 TB) and the other half of the mayonnaise (1/2 TB) on the other piece of bread. This helps the chicken to stick to the bread.
Spread the dill relish (1 TB) on one side of the bread.
On top of the relish, add 2.5 oz of the bbq chicken to the sandwich. Should be a nice 1/2" layer of sweet chicken.
Place the other piece of bread on top of the chicken to make a sandwich.
Slice in half.
Remove a pickle from the jar and cut it in half length wise and in half again so you have 4 quarters, long skinny pickle spears.
Serve sandwich with 1/2 a pickle (2 narrow spears).
Grab a napkin and enjoy your sweet chicken lunch!
